The film featured Kishore Kumar, his two brothers, Anoop Kumar and Ashok Kumar, and Madhubala. Kishore Kumar sang many of the songs in the film, along with Asha Bhosle. The music was composed by SD Burman and lyrics were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri. The success of the movie led the brothers to act in another comedy titled Badhti Ka Naam Daadi (literally “the one that grows is a beard”) to rhyme with the name of this movie.
